Adapting to the current public health guidelines has been challenging for all but we must take our health seriously. Clean, safe drinking water is integral to maintaining good health. While the water distributed through public water supplies is tested and treated, private well owners are on their own to determine the quality of their drinking water. Water testing is the only way to determine if well water is safe to drink. Raritan Headwaters is here to help.

This summer, we’ll be popping up all over the watershed in the Raritan Headwaters van each Wednesday morning to allow residents to drive up, procure a well test kit, and return samples to us the very same day. Each Wednesday, we’ll be in a different town (residency in the host municipality is not required for participation).

Between 8 and 10 AM, you may drive up to request a kit. You then go home, fill the sample bottles as instructed, and return them to the same location before 11 am*.

The state-certified laboratory that we partner with will analyze your water and you’ll get reliable results in just a couple weeks- no follow-up sales calls or pressure to buy treatment systems. You get the peace of mind knowing your water is clean and safe.

Staff will be adhering to all public health guidelines and social distancing protocols. Residents are asked to wear a mask during the event and remain in their vehicles.  Payments may be made by check to “RHA” at the event.

*If you don’t have time to return the samples the same day, they may be returned to one of our 2 offices at your convenience (each office has designated return days every week, year-round).Please see our menu of testing options here.
