Maria has a Master’s degree in environmental science from Drexel University and has worked mainly on using fish populations to assess water quality and on the impacts of invasive aquatic organisms on food web structure. Prior to joining RHA, she worked as a fisheries technician for New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife in the Bureau of Freshwater Fisheries, and for the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia as a research technician in the fisheries section of the Patrick Center for Environmental Research. Maria studied marine ecosystems both with Rutgers University Marine Field Station and in her time as an undergraduate with Stockton University.
