Born and raised in communities within the watershed, Cindy has spent 30 years at Raritan Headwaters. She joined predecessor organization Upper Raritan Water Association (URWA) in 1994 as Development Director. In the late 1990’s she established a Nature Education program for youth and led the 2000 campaign to restore the historic barn complex on Fairview Farm, the association’s headquarters in Bedminster.  She became Executive Director in 2006. In 2011, Cindy led the merger between URWA and the South Branch Watershed Association that established Raritan Headwaters.

Over two years, she worked with RHA’s Board of Trustees to create a succession plan in preparation for her plans to step down as Executive Director at the end of 2023.  She now serves in a fundraising role as the Senior Director of Development.  An avid kayaker, gardener and birder, Cindy is the past chair of the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Education Fund and an alum of Lead New Jersey. She has a BA in social work and an earlier career as a field editor and writer for Meredith Publishing’s Better Homes and Garden and other publications.
