Raritan Headwaters Association (RHA) is a non-profit conservation organization protecting natural resources in the 470-square-mile Upper Raritan River region located in Hunterdon, Morris and Somerset Counties and beyond into New Jersey’s more urban areas that rely on the water supplies we protect. RHA’s mission is to engage citizens in safeguarding land and clean water through education, science, advocacy, land preservation and stewardship.

Corporate volunteer days support our vision that everyone within our reach has access to safe, clean water that is swimmable, fishable, and above all, drinkable.

Corporate Day at a Glance

Every volunteer event begins in the morning with a presentation of information on how each of us can contribute to improving and protecting the natural environment in the communities where we work, live and play. Generally, volunteer teams work together till midday on one or a variety of projects that include maintaining hiking trails, restoring forests and meadows through invasive plant removal and native plantings, garden maintenance, stream buffer tree plantings, stream cleanups, event set up and breakdown, and more. Most groups schedule their workday to include an onsite lunch.

RHA’s Fairview Farm in Bedminster hosts corporate volunteer days year-round and in addition offers opportunities to plan team building activities, catered lunches, presentations by naturalists and guided walks on this bucolic wildlife preserve.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the success of our conservation programs relies on individual, foundation and corporate support. Please consider a tax-deductible donation to support our mission, and to cover costs related to your RHA volunteer event including staffing and the purchase of materials needed for team-building days.

Suggested Donation

  • $1,000 for groups of 50+ and for off-site Stream Cleanups
  • $500 for groups up to 25 participants

Donations at any level will make a difference in our ability to protect the health of New Jersey’s natural environment. Thank you for your consideration.
