Kick off the winter season with a cozy campfire gathering where we’ll warm up, roast marshmallows, and enjoy each other’s company!
Welcome winter and kick off the season on Friday, Dec. 1st, 6-8pm, with a cozy campfire evening at Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve! Astronomers from RVCC will join us with a big telescope to observe the starry winter sky! We’ll roast marshmallows, enjoy warm glogg (a traditional Scandinavian winter drink), and play glow in the dark yard games. We will also be collecting lightly used outdoor winter gear to swap (anything left will be donated!).
Gear up for the season ahead with great friends, fun, and the “friluftsliv” Nordic spirit of enjoying the outdoors year-round. Don’t forget to bring your favorite blanket and mug for some glogg or hot cocoa. All ages welcome, children 3 and under are free!
This event is part of RHA’s partnership with Friluftsliving Family, helping busy families create easy outdoor adventures, wherever you live! Learn more about this Scandinavian ethos and join in the fun with this winter’s “15 Weeks of Friluftsliv”on the Friluftsliving Family Instagram page or via newsletter!
Bundle up and start making winter memories!
