Raritan Headwaters is applying for the renewal of its accreditation from the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, a program of the Land Trust Alliance.

Climate change and biodiversity loss are two of the most pressing issues of our time and private land conservation is a powerful tool to address both. By setting aside land, we protect natural resources and ecosystems, and help mitigate the effects of climate change. Communities also benefit from the economic and recreational opportunities that open space provides. Landowners, governments, and non-profit organizations all have a role to play in preserving land and its invaluable ecosystem services.

The land trust accreditation program recognizes land conservation organizations that meet national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands forever. Raritan Headwaters is pleased to announce it is applying for renewal of its accreditation. A public comment period is now open. RHA greatly values the input from our community members.
